My name is Jocelyne (Kelsey Leach), and I have been runnings yoga classes in Frinton for nearly 10 years.
As someone new to the class and to help you settle into the rhythm of the way I do things, I’ve compiled a few notes and pointers for you.
Let’s jump straight in!
Don’t just try one class …
It drives me nuuuuuuuuuts when you only come to one class and I never see you again. We could do great things together.
Every class is different. I never do exactly the same thing at each class or from week to week. Most of my classes are ‘Mixed Ability’ which means that not all of you will be at the same pace or physical ability, so some weeks the class will suit you better than others. Also, some weeks the mood of the class and the postures or theme can be totally different. I like to give a varied experience because yoga is so varied. Something for everyone.
Some weeks we go into flowing Vinyasa Sequences. Other times we might be working on physical alignment or specific issues or poses.
So, 4 classes minimum will give you a good feel of how we Rock & Roll round here!
To encourage you, I do a special 4-week introduction Class Pass for £25 – payable in advance. (£18 if you are paying for your pass at your second class!)
Talking of passes …
If you are someone who never has cash in your purse or your children rob you, I have a class pass scheme. In other words, it’s like money you can only spend at yoga. Each pass is £7 unless you want to buy a little cluster of them – 6 for £40
I send an occasional newsletter …
My not-so-regular newsletter is just to inform you about the different workshops that are running (usually on a Sunday Afternoon once a month or so), or about anything that is going on and special offers etc.
To sign up for this, please go to the home page and use the Bar at the top or the Sign-up box on the right. It will say “Be an Insider”.
I have a FaceBook Page
I post articles and things of interest, anything to do with yoga in fact. It’s another place you can contact me or join in the conversation, especially if you can’t get to class for any reason. Find it HERE
I love your input!
I am always interested in what your motivation for coming to class is or was, and if yoga is helping or if I could help you more. But … I only know these things if you tell me. 😀 You can email me or use the contact form on this website, write me a note or speak to me after class.
Finally, you might need to know for safety sake …
I am weird, crazy, barking mad sometimes but not entirely stupid, and have an uplifting, lighthearted style but am deadly serious. I don’t always know what is going to come out of my mouth but find it works best that way. Must be the Gemini in me ;))))
Cheeribye for now – See you on the mat!
